South Facing Festival
From the design to the delivery
Returning in 2025 as production partner, Method took the reins in the execution of this fan-favourite live music series - planning and operating eleven concerts across three consecutive weekends in August. We designed an open and accessible site, with all eyes on the stage. Once again, we floated the stage on the water, but this year we extended the stage to maximise live performance space and immersive visuals. Around it, the site came alive with a plethora of considered food and beverage offerings whilst a secluded VIP area, nestled in the trees, offered elevated views and hospitality experiences. Our technical team worked tirelessly to ensure crystal clear sound could be heard across the bowl, whilst our operations teams ensured the smooth running of the event from start to finish.

Heritage meets innovation
With our return to South Facing, it wasn’t just about the music; it was about site sensitivity. Our team worked hand in hand with ecology and heritage consultants to ensure every aspect of our build respected the park’s natural character. From routing infrastructure around protected trees to adapting layouts to fit the existing landscape, we struck a careful balance between putting on a show and looking after the space. We worked closely with Crystal Palace Park Trust to ensure that we minimally impacted the park; leaving the site exactly as we found it, ready to be enjoyed by the community long after the final encore. Operating within a nationally significant heritage landscape is a responsibility we take seriously, and South Facing was a testament to how live events can coexist with, and celebrate, the history and environment that surrounds them. We utilised thoughtful approaches to nature through tree protection plans, maintaining duck access routes and thorough ground reinstatement - safeguarding the park’s ecology at every stage. We are proud to create standout live experiences that feel at home in the spaces that host them.
Testimonial
Working with the small but mighty team at METHOD is a joy; they take a friendly, professional approach to their work, demonstrated by a keen ability to deliver large scale events within the heritage protected confines of our Victorian park, on events which oftentimes had the potential to be highly challenging.

The METHOD team dealt with these challenges with confidence. Their work in balancing the needs of a community focused charity like ours and the commercial needs of the event are particularly noteworthy. As such, I'd happily recommend them as production partners on future large scale events elsewhere.
